“Rethink”
I implore you to rethink your support of the "Not One Dime" campaign being waged on 1/20. While its intended message is honorable, its strategy will have the unintended consequence of also hurting the socially-responsible businesses that so desperately need our support. A day's worth of boycott will not hurt the Wal-Mart's of this country but it will certainly hurt the independents who are trying so hard to be a catalyst for a growing consciousness in America. There are other ways to voice our disgust with the current state of affairs without hurting those who are trying to help.
Junkie: Thank you for your thoughts Aimee. The Spend Not One **** Dime Day relies on individual participation; therefore, you may wish to express their outrage against the Bush administration in different ways. Having reflected on your comments, TPJ continues it support of Spend Not One **** Dime Day. Collectively, a sufficiently large “economic burp” on Inauguration Day will send a powerful message. And, one would fully expect that truly socially conscious businesses would be willing to take a little hurt to stop the horror of Bush’s war.
