GEORGE BROOKS
“Crash And Burn?”
These writings are brilliant. How widely are they read? We have the ammo and numbers, but how do we get it across to the well-meaning people who consistently vote against their interests? I know too many intelligent people who should know better, but reject discussion. Do we have to crash and burn to get the message across?
_____
Junkie: Brooks’ comments are in response to Dr. Steven Jonas’ most recent article. We appreciate the compliment.
Whether we must “crash and burn” depends on each of us. It may be – but it does not have to be. TPJ continues to believe that there are people of good will who believe in the preservation of constitutional democracy in the United States and that people of good will can counter the terrible weight of the undemocratic forces unleashed by radical Republicans. We simply have to reach out to every citizen, every day.
Brooks’ kind email raises several points that should be addressed:
TPJ does not discuss
its readership specifically.
Generally, TPJ sends some three thousand email notices to subscribers. TPJ
has a high number of North Carolina subscribers, followed closely by
national readers. TPJ has a smaller but highly loyal following in some
fifteen countries around the world and, to date; TPJ has been read in over
eighty countries. TPJ even has some subscribers who do not have computers
capable of accessing TPJ (Mac’s browser cannot read TPJ) – for those readers
we email TPJ as an attachment.
Junkie Editor Michael Carmichael, Dr. Steven Jonas and I are honored that you have made TPJ a part of your political reading. We strive to publish a quality web magazine that merits your continued readership.
